Plas Melin is a council owned and managed sheltered housing in Portmead.  Residents must be at least 60 years old.  The complex consists of 56 1 bed flats which were built in 1993. some of the flats are suitable for those with restricted mobility.  The complex is an 'Extra Care' scheme with on-site staff, resident management staff (24 hours, 7 days) and community alarm service.  The property is lift accessed to all floors.  There is a communal lounge, laundry, garden and guest facilities.


The whole site is acessible by wheelchair and is conveniently located for local transport, shops, post office, GP surgery and a social centre.
