Penclawdd is a large village located on Gower and is approximately 8 north west of Swansea City Centre.

The council properties in this area consist of houses and 2 bedroom flats (suitable for children). There is also a sheltered complex made up of bungalows.

There are a number of shops in Penclawdd and it is well known for its cockle picking industry.  The Community Mobile Library visits the area.  The local Rugby Club has a long history in rugby union. There is also a community centre.

The Gower was the first area in Britain to be designated an area of outstanding beauty.  It attracts a high number of tourists due to the number of beaches and the variety of leisure activities on offer.
